Keepin it "REAL"

This is just how I feel on this subject:

Dave Chapelle said it best when..."Keepin' it REAL goes wrong". Being "real" is one of those relative things (for u slow folks I'm not talking about your family but I mean in relation to.... Step your vocabulary game up) it depends on what your reality is. It kills me, somewhere in the back of my black heart, when people say that someone isn't or isn't keeping it "real". What's REAL to me may not be real to u. Working a steady, honest job. Handling your responsibilities. Living by a code of values and morals. That is a reality of parents to me. Now some have parents that don't care at all. My REAL isn't real to them and their REAL isn't real to me. Its all worlds apart. Plies is a REAL nigga and 50Cent is a REAL nigga and JAY Z is a REAL nigga. What makes them real??? Is it all of their ties to the drug trade and their rap status. the fact that they have a "background" and multiple cars??? No I applaud their money making ability but all that aside when stripped of all the "accessories" what makes someone real. If I tried to portray someone else's REAL or if they tried to live mine, there could potentially be serious consequences for keeping it REAL... Like I said real is relative to your situation. Keep it REAL with your reality and your reality will keep it REAL with you

This is just how I feel on this issue...

There is no REAL reason for it but we all know its going to happen. Somebody is going to feel pushed, threatened, embarrassed, whatever the hell it is and they SNAP!!! I don't believe provoking the situation warrants an "ass whopping".

Words CAN be walked away from. BUT there is that point where words become too much. I've seen one too many fights between family friends and associates that could have been avoided if the "victim" hadn't use that last low blow. Doing something to intentionally piss someone off may warrant that ass whopping. I always swore I'd never put my hands on a woman unless absolutely necessary. WHUPS!!!! Work in progress. There is never an excuse for it. No matter what Tina did to Ike or Rihanna did to Chris breezy their ass whoppings weren't warranted. I know a lot of "feminist" that fight for women's rights and equality but when one of their "equal" sisters gets beat on by a man that they are equal to, all that shit goes out of the window. Its a huge double standard but thinking on it its not REALLY a double standard. Men are built differently than women and are typically stronger than them (physically). Men keep your hands off of women. Women think about what you are saying to men. My philosophy on this subject is easy DON'T DO IT. No I'm not saying that women don't beat on men I went to court with a woman that beat her husband so that's not the case at all. I believe that if u don't start no shit won't be no shit cuz I don't give a damn if you don't give a fuck.
